Samaná Tour: Waterfalls, Horseback Riding, and Paradise Islands.
Samaná Tour – Escape the resort and discover the real Dominican Republic. If you only do one excursion outside of Punta Cana, make it this one. This full-day expedition takes you across the country to the lush, green peninsula of Samaná, a region famous for its mountains, coconut groves, and pristine beaches.
This is a 3-in-1 Adventure:
Island Life: Relax on the white sands of Cayo Levantado (also known as Bacardi Island).
Jungle Trek: Ride horses through the tropical rainforest to reach the spectacular El Limón Waterfall.
Scenic Cruise: Cross the magnificent Samaná Bay by boat.
Tour Program: How Your Day Unfolds
Hotel Pick-up & Scenic Drive We begin by picking you up in a comfortable, air-conditioned bus from your hotel. Sit back and enjoy the views of the Dominican countryside as we head towards the coast of Sabana de la Mar.
Boat Crossing of Samaná Bay Board a speedboat or motomaran to cross the magnificent Bay of Samaná. Enjoy the sea breeze and the views of the mountains rising from the water. Note: In winter (Jan-March), keep your eyes open—you might spot migrating Humpback Whales!
Stop 1: Cayo Levantado (Bacardi Island) Arrive at this tiny, postcard-perfect island. You will have free time to swim in the turquoise water, sip a piña colada (served in a fresh pineapple!), or simply relax on the white sand beach.
Lunch: Dominican Feast After the island, we head to the mainland for a delicious Dominican Buffet Lunch. Fuel up with rice, beans, chicken, fish, salad, and fresh tropical fruit.
The Adventure: Safari & Horseback Ride Board a Safari Truck to reach the local ranch. From there, local guides will help you mount your horse for a guided trek through the lush tropical jungle, crossing rivers and muddy trails.
The Main Event: El Limón Waterfall Arrive at the spectacular 52-meter (170ft) high cascade. Take a refreshing dip in the cool natural pool at the bottom or capture incredible photos of the falls crashing down from the cliffs.
Return Journey After the ride back to the ranch, we cross the bay one last time and board the bus for your return trip to Punta Cana/Bayahibe, arriving back in the evening.
Why Visit Samaná?
1. The “Jurassic Park” Views Unlike the flat coastline of Punta Cana, Samaná is mountainous and incredibly green. The horseback ride to the waterfall feels like stepping into a movie set.
2. Two Destinations in One Day Usually, visiting an island and a waterfall would require two separate days. We combine them seamlessly so you get the maximum experience without wasting your vacation time.
3. All-Inclusive Convenience We handle the bus, the boat, the lunch, the park fees, and the horses. You just bring your camera and a towel.
